Salsa!

Have you ever read: 'I don't know how she does it?'.

It is a very funny novel about a working mom and her struggles to keep it together (and to keep up appearances).

These last couple of days I thought of the book quite often.

We were preparing International Day.

The school my daughter goes to has students from 43 nations and once a year there is a big party at the school.

It is a lovely occassion, but it is also a lot of work.

Each class represents a different country, and parents, kids and teachers prepare together.

There is lots of food, games, music and fun.

A great opportunity for us parents to learn to cook dishes we can't pronounce :-).

Today was the big day!

Eva's class did Puerto Rico. We prepared Pina Colada and food with beans, chicken, rice and coconut, raided the gardens of palm leaves, distributed loooooots of sand, hung hangmats and flower garlands, and the kids danced the Salsa.

Here some pictures from the performance:

Befor the start, slightly nervous:

Salsa!

Relieved:

A beautiful weekend to you.

Lots of love,
