The list of niggling things

Today, in preparation for the '3 week challenge', I am starting a list of niggling things.

This list is a wonderful way to free up space in your head and to release the, well, niggling feeling you carry around all day that there is something that you still have to do...

It doesn't matter if you take part in the challenge or not, having a niggling list is a great thing!

What goes onto it?

Basically everything that bugs you in some way:

  • Every project you have started and abandoned
  • Every project you feel obliged to do
  • Anything you agreed to do in a weak moment but haven't done because you really do NOT want to do it
  • Anything you know you have to do but for some reason resist

Once you have written these things down you will already feel better :-).

When you have it in black and white your subconscious doesn't have to constantly remind you of it.

If it is written down it is also a lot easier to plan getting it done, to allocate a time for it, or to give up on it and say nicely that you changed your mind.

I just re-read this post and realized that I wrote a lot of 'you, you, you' :-).

So I will stop pretending that all this has nothing to do with me and admit that the first item that must go onto my niggling list is the whole 3 week challenge.

Yes I know it will be so good for me.

I also know that I will enjoy it once I get going.

But right now I am at that point where I feel like I am pushing uphill with no momentum whatsoever.

Which of course is also why I am trying to rope you in :-).

So, if you have some time over the weekend, write a list of niggling things.

We will then start doing something about it from next week.

And now I must organize a movie party for Eva and her friends.

I have been told that it has to include pizza, popcorn, hot chocolate, muffins, at least two movies and a sleep-over.

I have also been told that I am not allowed to pick the movies :-).

Have a lovely Friday
