Dream of the night
Recently, I have written a couple of song texts. A friend of mine composed the music, and we recorded at his kitchen table :-).
Here is a sample:
You live and you love
and you turn many corners
You run down the streets
on which you were once born as
a rebel, a fairy, a dream of the night
a rebel, a fairy, a dream of the night
The music in you
is so loud and so certain
it dances you on
and you scream you’re not hurting
and while you’re still turning you’re spun out of sight
and while you’re still turning you’re spun out of sight
The choices you made
are the choices that claim you
You cannot remember
if you’ve ever been true
and if it was you who had married the light
and if it was you who had married the light
And the price that you pay
is the price that you’re searching
You’ve lost all that might have
once looked like a sure thing
When all of your lights were still blazing so bright
when all of your lights were still blazing so bright
And the music in you
was so loud
and then died down
A rebel, a fairy
the dream of an old clown
who stumbles and bows to her plight
who stumbles and bows to her plight
The calling in you
has stopped whispering softly
you fall, you surrender
and then you are free
for your perfect nirvana in all of its might
for your perfect nirvana in all of its might
